On Friday 23 February, Newark and Sherwood District Council hosted its first inter-agency meeting to look at what it can do to tackle the severe flooding local communities have endured.
The District Council understands that homelessness is a complex issue and a sad reality for some residents in the district. Therefore, they have introduced a new Homelessness Prevention and Rough Sleeper Strategy, which will see a person-centred approach to creating sustainable solutions based on individuals' needs and aspirations.
District Councillors were invited for a tour of the ASI in Newark on Wednesday 21 February as they got a glimpse of the new building before it opens in the coming months.
