Since the Safer Streets 5 initiative began in late 2023, the focus area in Balderton has experienced a 28% reduction in ASB incidents, new data shows.

Following the introduction of the Social Housing (Regulations) Act 2023 and the revised Consumer Standards introduced in April 2024, the District Council presented an overview of how they engage with tenants at its Cabinet meeting on Tuesday 10 December. In addition, the District Council explained how it is undertaking a review to their approach to tenant engagement to create even more meaningful methods for tenants to influence the services they receive.

During last year’s festive shopping period (November 2023 to January 2024), UK shoppers lost over £11.5 million to online scams, with an average loss of £695 per victim.

At this week’s Cabinet meeting of Newark and Sherwood District Council, proposals were agreed for the future development of the Council’s Brunel Drive depot site, Farrar Close and the glass recycling facility at the Lorry Park.
