A Living Well booklet has been created by Newark and Sherwood District Council to act as a central place for important information available for residents who are looking for support and advice on a range of topics.

Following the introduction of the Social Housing (Regulations) Act 2023 and the revised Consumer Standards introduced in April 2024, the District Council presented an overview of how they engage with tenants at its Cabinet meeting on Tuesday 10 December. In addition, the District Council explained how it is undertaking a review to their approach to tenant engagement to create even more meaningful methods for tenants to influence the services they receive.
During last year’s festive shopping period (November 2023 to January 2024), UK shoppers lost over £11.5 million to online scams, with an average loss of £695 per victim.
A popular building in Newark Town Centre will be given a new lease of life as the District Council hopes to convert the empty unit into a community space.
