Food waste recycling trial

We will be launching a food waste collection pilot across 3,000 homes in Newark and Sherwood in September 2026.

This trial is being introduced ahead of the Government’s requirement for kerbside food waste collections from 1 October 2027.

We will contact participating households directly, and further information will be available on this webpage in the coming weeks.
