Intake Wood FAQs (work procedures and timings)
What time do you start work on site?
Our sub-contractors start around 7.30am but we understand that those collecting the wood have been arriving earlier. We understand residents have advised this can be as early as 4.30am. We will speak to those collecting the wood and ask that they don’t do this until after 7.30am.
When will the chipping start?
Because work has paused on site, we are delaying chipping works until the autumn period in order to not disturb any wildlife which might have set up home in the brash.
Why did work continue after the error by the contractor?
Once the Forestry Commission had conducted their initial assessment, they were happy for the contractor to resume works on site. However, we did decide to stop this again shortly afterwards.
