Newark Town Centre Races are returning to Newark

On 28 July Newark Town centre will once again resonate with the sounds of wheels on tarmac as the elite of British cycling slug it out to determine who will be crowned champion. Following on from the hugely popular event last year, once again the finale of the British Cycling National Circuit Series will use the historic Royal Market as the backdrop for the final races of the season. Last year we saw a massive influx of visitors to the town, with the businesses who supported the event showing increased footfall through the evening.

Newark and Sherwood is home to many fantastic open spaces and parks for residents to enjoy, and the District Council is pleased to announce that it has increased the number of internationally recognised parks within the district, with five local green spaces and parks recognised with the prestigious Green Flag Award.
