With the help of a £20,000 grant from Newark and Sherwood District Council, Robin Hood Colts, the grass roots football team based in Edwinstowe, in partnership with Edwinstowe Parish Council, has upgraded its pavilion with solar panels.

Newark and Sherwood District Council has been running its Community Chest scheme for three years. Community groups, District Council tenants and leaseholders can each apply for up to £1,000 through the scheme to help support and fund local projects.
