Newark celebrates Armed Forces Day

To mark Armed Forces Day this year, Newark hosted a military parade and event in the Royal Market and Town Hall. The event was kicked off by a performance from the RAF Cranwell Military Wives’ Choir which included a stunning rendition of “We’ll Meet Again” outside the Town Hall.

Tenants, have your say!

District Council tenants are being encouraged to complete a short survey to have their say and be in with a chance to win one of four £50 shopping vouchers! The survey asks how the District Council can make it easier for tenants to influence decisions relating to housing services as part of a review into tenant engagement arrangements at the Council.

Whale’s Return Set to Make a Splash in Market Place

The whale is swimming back to Newark Market Place this summer! The Plastic Ocean Show, which takes place inside an 18-metre-long replica whale, is returning after its initial run in April sold out in under 12 hours. Taking place on Sunday 11 August, free tickets will allow bold explorers to step inside this fascinating creature to experience a beautiful, funny and interactive show highlighting the impact that plastic has on our environment.

Newark residents to create a wall of art in the town centre

The Community Art Gallery @ 32 is a new art initiative that invites Newark residents of all ages to draw what they love most about their town and have their artwork featured on part of the construction wall around 32 Stodman Street, where new homes and retail units are being built.
