To mark Armed Forces Day this year, Newark hosted a military parade and event in the Royal Market and Town Hall. The event was kicked off by a performance from the RAF Cranwell Military Wives’ Choir which included a stunning rendition of “We’ll Meet Again” outside the Town Hall.

The Plastic Ocean Show, which takes place inside an 18-metre-long replica whale, is returning after its initial run in April sold out in under 12 hours. Taking place on Sunday 11 August, free tickets will allow bold explorers to step inside this fascinating creature to experience a beautiful, funny and interactive show highlighting the impact that plastic has on our environment.

The Community Art Gallery @ 32 is a new art initiative that invites Newark residents of all ages to draw what they love most about their town and have their artwork featured on part of the construction wall around 32 Stodman Street, where new homes and retail units are being built.
