A new partnership strategy to help shape the future of nature and its recovery in Nottinghamshire has been formally launched.

The National Civil War Centre in Newark invites visitors to explore one of the most fascinating periods in British history. Open Tuesdays to Saturdays, 10am – 4pm, the Centre offers an immersive experience that sweeps you into a remarkable story of superstitions, sibling rivalry, and seismic change that shaped the country we live in today. And it is completely free for Newark and Sherwood residents!

A Closure Order has been granted at Nottinghamshire Magistrates’ Court following the work of Newark and Sherwood District Council and partners from Nottinghamshire Police.

Newark and Sherwood District Council is once again spreading festive cheer by offering free weekend and Bank Holiday parking at all of its managed Pay and Display and Pay on Foot car parks throughout the Christmas season. This initiative aims to support local businesses, and encourage residents and visitors to enjoy the district’s vibrant town centres during the most magical time of the year.

The National Civil War Centre is committed to encouraging young visitors and their families to enjoy the Centre and its fantastic family-friendly galleries for free. This Autumn, if you haven’t already been, head along to one of their dedicated Mini Museum sessions, aimed at those under 5 for a whole host of free fun!

Professor Edvard von Goosechaser (Adam Nightingale) invites you on this historical comedy adventure at the National Civil War Centre, where you’ll will learn about “mad” seventeenth century science and invention.
