Information about the trial
Why are the food waste collections being introduced?
The government is introducing weekly food waste collections, with local councils responsible for delivering this new service to residents. To ensure we provide the best possible service when it is rolled out across Nottinghamshire in October 2027, it's important that we understand what works best for local communities.
Therefore, we’re introducing a new weekly food waste recycling collection trial from Monday 26 October 2026, and your household has been selected to take part.
