Premises licences

If you are intending to sell alcohol, food late at night or tickets to an entertainment event you may need a licence.

Apply to make changes to a premises licence

If you are the holder of a premises licence and wish to make changes to it, you will need to make an application to our licensing service.

Typical changes requested include:

  • extending hours
  • removing, adding or amending conditions
  • altering the layout plan attached to the licence.

You will need to make your application on GOV.UK.

Types of change applications

Most change requests usually require a 'full variation application'. A 'minor variation application' may be acceptable where the changes are minimal.

If the proposed changes are particularly substantial then you may need to submit a new premises licence application.
