The strategy intends to:
- acknowledge and understand the areas at risk of fraud
- prevent fraud from happening
- detect and stop fraud before it happens
- recover any losses
- take action where fraud has been committed
- prosecute and take legal action
Anti-fraud and corruption strategy
The overall aim of this document is to tackle anti-fraud and corruption within our council, and to ensure irregularities are spotted, reported and dealt with appropriately.
