We help and support our leaseholders who have bought a flat or maisonette in a council block, or who have leasehold interest.
As the freeholder, we keep the freehold interest, own the land the property is built on and charge ground rent as part of your service charges.
Service charges
As the leaseholder, you will be responsible to pay an annual service charge.
Service charges cover all works and services carried out to the building. This includes:
- day to day repairs
- maintenance and improvement work
- cleaning of communal areas
Costs can vary each year, depending on the work that has been carried out during the last 12 months. They may also increase with inflation.
As a leaseholder you only pay a fair share of the overall cost.
Ways to pay
Your bill will be sent to you between May and August every year.
The service charges cover the financial year, from April to March.
If you would like to set up a regular payment plan to pay your bill in instalments, please contact us to arrange this.
