Dog waste and fouling

You can report a dog waste bin that needs emptying.

Report now

You can also report it on MyNs. This allows you to track the progress of your report.

You will first be asked to log in or register for a new account.

Every dog waste bin has a small sticker on it with a number. Make sure you tell us this number, as it lets us know the precise location of the bin.

Dog owners

You can buy poop-scoops to pick up your dog's mess or a carrier bag. Special bins are provided in many parks and road verges for disposing of mess.

Otherwise, use a litter bin or your wheelie bin at home.

We frequently receive complaints about people who let their dogs foul their own garden, but never clean up the mess. The best way to dispose of dog mess in this situation is by using a dog-loo sunk into the earth of your garden which allows the waste to decompose safely without causing problems.

Alternatively, bury waste in an area of soil set aside for the purpose. We can order owners to clean up their garden if it is causing a nuisance to others.

New and replacement dog waste bins

Parish and town councils are responsible for installing dog waste bins.

If you believe a dog waste bin is required in your area, contact the clerk of your parish or town council.
